California Policy Center CEO Mark Bucher and Tommy Few spoke on the John and Ken Show (KFI AM 640) about Few v. UTLA.

Tommy Few of Sepulveda Middle School attempted to leave United Teachers of Los Angeles (UTLA) and had asked his employer, Los Angeles Unified School District, to stop withholding union dues from his paycheck.

UTLA insisted that Few can only exercise his constitutional rights to not be a member once a year during a brief, 30-day window.

This is directly false under the JANUS decision and California Policy Center is fighting the good fight for worker’s rights. The union’s are using money for political advocacy and you are now legally allowed to opt out of paying if you want your money back or if you don’t agree with what the union is advocating for.
